Class Descriptions
Know you want to take a class but not quite sure which one is for you? This page will give you a run down of each class and what you need to wear.
Intro To Pole (Beginners)- This is the best place to start pole dancing if you have never taken a class before. We go over all the basics in this class including proper grips, walking, and basic spins and tricks. Most people take this class once just to get aquainted with how pole dancing works. We highly recommend first timers to take this class. The class is approx. 45 min. You can do this class barefoot but heels are recommended. You must wear shorts and a tank top or tight fitting shirt.
Pole1-(Beginners) This is where you come after Intro To Pole Dance. DANCER HEELS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL POLE CLASSES. Simple tricks are taught in this class. You will learn basic moves through proper hand placement and correct body alignment. You will be taught how to walk gracefully, use eye contact, and hopefully leave with a better awareness of YOU! Small routines will be taught as well as an extensive warm-up. You must wear shorts and a tank top, and dancer heels.
Pole2- (Intermediate) You are now comfortable wearing your heels, and familiar with the pole, you will learn to put together pole combinations and be introduced to intermediate pole tricks. You must wear shorts and tank top with dancer heels.
Pole3- (Advanced) After an extensive warm-up you will work on difficult routines and learn tricks with a higher degree of strength. The routines will be taught quicker with less review time on basic tricks. You must wear shorts, tank top, and dancer heels.
Pole4- (Professional) Time to work those advanced tricks and combinations into longer routines! This one will definitely make you sweat! To make this a tad bit more difficult, we may use spinning poles for this class. You must wear booty shorts, tank top, and dancer heels.
Pole Fitness-(All Levels) Perfect for gaining strength and flexibility for all pole classes. This class is taught in tennis shoes and the pole is used during workout. you will be exercising entire body, but mainly focusing on the upper body. If you are struggling with poel tricks or would like to move up to advanced classes a little quicker, we strongly recommend this 45 minute class. Tennis shoes, shorts,tight fitting shirt, and yoga mat are needed.
Go-Go Dance Workout-A great cardiovascular work-out while you dance! A fitness version of what you would see women doing in all the hot dance clubs! Imagine every inch of your body moving all at once!!! The wednesday class requires Stack gogo boots, the thursday class requires you wear tennis shoes or flats with fur covers. We sell fur covers if you don't have any. Shorts and a tank top are perfect for this class....don't forget a water bottle!
Cardio/Stretch- A combination of deep stretching and a little cardio. This class will work on your flexibility as well as keep you aware of your overall body and tone. Please bring a yoga mat, wear tennis shoes and workout clothing.
Hip Hop-A more urban way to work it! Come try some funky routines, learn how your body works and feel your muscles do incredible new things! This class provides a good amount of cardio so not only will you have a great time, but you will also see the pounds shed away. Tennis shoes and workout/dance clothing. No Denim please.
Floor Barre- A combination of ballet moves, stretches, and training techniques done on the floor. Great for dancers or women looking to gain strength and flexibility. Please wearing comfortable workout clothing and bring a yoga mat.
Zumba- A cardio dance workout incorporating several latin dance styles. A great cardio workout that will help you burn calories while dancing and having a blast. Please wear tennis shoes and comfortable workout clothing.
Rapid Fire Chickboxing-Your strength and endurance are definitely challenged in this class. The use of heavy bags mixed with some tough body exercises are sure to sweat out everyday toxins and get you back into prime shape. Yoga mat, heavy bag gloves (We sell them if you don't have any), hand wraps, and regular tennis shoes are mandatory for this class. Bring some water too!!
Beach Body Bootcamp- Ladies and Gents...bootcamp that will make you work and sweat. You will be doing workouts that professional athletes do. This class will work your whole body and push you hard! This class is Saturday in Sunset Beach off 19th and PCH. Walk down towards the water and look for the orange flags. This is a fun coed class. There will be no class if there is rain. Please wear comfortable workout clothing and bring some water!
Burlesque/Rock Burlesque-A sexy style of dance that is making a comeback! Old school teasing at it's finest. The outcome is the same...A SEXY TEASE. With so many new burlesque shows out today, everyone has been asking for this!! Work on exploring a more sensual side of dance, your overall body movement will improve and become more femine as well as your growing confidence will blossom. Please wear small heels that you can dance in comfortably as well as tight fitting dance attire such as yoga pants or leggings, and a tank top.
Ass and Abs---Rotates each week....bring a Yoga mat and get ready to work out exactly what we titled this class...ASS AND ABS.
Aerial Hoop and Tissu---Think Cirque Du Soleil! A class that will build core and upper body strength through climbing and aerial training on the tissu and hoop. Flexibility and strength will be taught as well as assitance in learning tricks on the tissu and aerial hoop. Please wear tight fitting long leggings and a tight tank top or t shirt. The class is taught barefoot. You may bring a yoga mat for warming up if needed.
Siesta Fiesta---Come clear your mind, meditate and rest your problems a way. "Power Naps" are proven to make you more alert, reduce stress and improve cognitive functioning. The class will start with some light stretching and then you will be given time to go into a personal meditation or "Power Nap". Class will finish with a stretch and you will be on your way to finish off your day in a more peaceful and stress free state. You will need to wear comfortable clothing, yoga pants are best. Please bring a yoga mat and a small blanket and pillow.
Hoop Dance----Thought you could never hoop as a child? Guess again! The hoop has come a long way since childhood play days. Hoops are back in full force and hipper then ever! This high energy class will have you blasting away belly fat while gyrating, spiraling, and twirling inside of a hoop. Hoopdance will work your heart through a high energy cardio based dance style as you learn to hoop at angles and in the veritcal plane engaging your core, spine, arms, thighs, and hips. Who thought hooping could be so sexy and fun! Please wear comfortable tight fitting clothing. We provide hoops and sell hoops as well!
Chair Cabaret---- Imagine a smoke filled room with you center propped on a chair. Channel your inner cabaret star in this class with a swanky fusion of classic jazz cabaret ala ‘Decadence’ era with a modern twist of MTV’s hottest modern music video chair dance routines. You will learn sultry and graceful dance moves that place an emphasis on body balance, arm strength and ab strength. You’ll gain confidence, coordination and after a few classes, you‘ll never look at the simple act of sitting on a chair in the same light again! Please wear tight fitting clothing and heels are optional.
Aerial Yoga---A powerful Yoga style incorporating Aerial Hammocks and plenty of strength building as well as flexibility. Please wear comfortable clothing such as yoga pants and tank top. please bring a yoga mat as well.
Relax and un-WINE---Long and stressful week at work? Body aches and pains from sitting at a desk? Come enjoy a glass of red wine, full of antioxidants, and a great stretch class with a twist! You will relax, unwind, and enjoy great conversation! You will leave this class feeling great and ready for the weekend. Please bring a yoga mat, your I.D., a bottle of water, and wear something comfortable.
Polesque---A mix between a burlesque class and a pole dance class. You will learn sexy burlesque style routines while incorperating pole dance techniques and a few basic spins. You do not need pole dance classes or burlesque classes to take this class, although having taken the Intro To Pole Dance class will help greatly. Please wear tight fitting clothing such as leggings, shorts, and a tank top. Also bring low burlesque style heels.
Music Video Dance Class---Ever wanted to dance like Lady Ga Ga? Love the routines from the Pussycat Dolls and Britney Spears? This class will cover sexy Jazz/Funk/Hip Hop style routines and give you a great workout in the process! Come shed pounds while rockin out like you would in your livingroom! Bring some water and be ready to move. Dance attire required and tennis or jazz shoes are perfect for this class.
Hot Hula----This sexy, island inspired workout will have you burning calories in no time! No we don't heat the room...we heat up the dance floor with amazing hip movements and dance! Bring a sarong and a bottle of water for this amazing workout!
Aerial Burlesque---A Hidden Talents signature class combining aerial hammocks and the sexy art of burlesque! Tissu and hoop burlesque classes coming soon! Make sure you wear leggings and be ready to dance! ***Intro to Aerial and/or Aerial Yoga is recommended prior to taking this class if you have little or no dance/aerial experience.***
MMA Bootcamp---Looking to get some aggression out? Come HIT something! This MMA boocamp will kick your ass into shape while you punch, kick, and push-up your way to the top. Using heavy bags and focus mitts, you will hone in on your inner fighter. Handwraps and Gloves are REQUIRED.
Hips and Salsa---This workout with a latin flair will give you a new meaning to the word FUN. Not only will you burn calories but you will pick up a few great moves as well. Pulling moves from several latin dance styles, each class you will learn a new routine while toning your legs, butt, and abs!
All classes require correct footwear, clothing, and accessories (gloves, hoops, shoes, etc) Please make sure that you have correct attire for each class or you will not be allowed to participate and your class will be forfeited. Please give us a call i fyou have any questions!
